KL SOGO Supports Campaign Against Domestic Violence

Reaching out and benefitting the community we serve through Corporate Social Responsibility projects has always been one of SOGO's priorities. This year, we are pleased to announce our involvement in the Campaign Against Domestic Violence to help raise awareness among the public about domestic violence against women.

The Nationwide Campaign Against Domestic Violence, a project initiated by Mrs. Universe Malaysia 2013, Carol Lee and jointly organised by All Women’s action Society (AWAM) was officially launched on 13 June 2013 at Kompleks Sogo, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, KL.

The campaign involves workshops on domestic violence and its effects, causes, legal rights and aid provision by Legal Information Clinic in collaboration with the State Legal Aid Centres & NGOs, the impact that it has on Muslim women and also recruitment of participants who are interested to be Advocators. This nationwide campaign will run for approximately one year, starting from July 2013.

For those who are interested to join in this cause, kindly contact AWAM at 03-7877 4221.
